سیرت رسول کریم ﷺ کی روشنی میں اخلاقی تربیت کا منہج : Methodology of Ethical Training in the light of the Holy Prophet’s Sīrah

Abstract

Society plays a vital role in personality development. The true identity of any community is based on its morality and ethics which are the backbone of society. The rise and fall of any nation, the survival, and decline of any society, depends on the condition of morality in its people. Morality and ethics are common points of agreement between the world's various religions.

In today’s world, we are in a dire need of following the lifestyle which was given to us by the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The excellent morals and ethics which were practised by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) should be the guideposts for a true Muslim. As positive ethics are the basis of the development of a nation, and negative ethics are linked to the decline of the same, it is indisputable that the guidelines given to us by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) should be followed religiously. One of the four reasons for the prophethood of the Last Prophet S.A.W was the establishment of good morals.

 In this article, the concept of the instruction of morals and ethics, its requirements, the link between instruction and morals, and the principles of the instruction by the Prophet (PBUH) are incorporated, as the hadiths and life of the Prophet (PBUH) linked with morals and ethics, and their practical implications in today’s world will be discussed in detail.
