Glossary and Glossaries of Iqbal’s Poetry: An Analytical Study: فرہنگ اور فرہنگ ہائے کلامِ اقبال:تجزیاتی مطالعہ

Abstract

Glossaries of Poetry are important for understanding the comprehension thoughts of poets. Dictionaries were compiled on the poetry of many poets in history. A qualitative approach with an analytical method is used in this research. The personality of Dr Muhammad Iqbal (1977-1938) also needs no introduction. Many glossaries compiled on Iqbal’s poetry have been introduced. Glossaries have been compiled containing the explanation and interpretation of every word, composition, hint, and gesture of Iqbal’s poetry. Through these gets guidance in understanding Iqbal’s thoughts. In these glossaries along with the word techniques that are used for the understating of Iqbal’s thoughts, the Scholars involved in Iqbal’s poetry have also been introduced. Along with the literal meanings of the word, the term meanings are also written. In the tradition of glossaries, compiling a glossary on Kalam-e-Iqbal is a great effort.
