شارحینِ اقبال کا تفہیم الفاظ و مرکبات میں کردار: The Role of Sharheen-e-Iqbal in Understanding the Meanings of Words and Compounds

Abstract

Allama Iqbal is a great thinker, poet, and reformer. To explain his speech, different commentators have interpreted the poems included in Iqbal's speech in their way. An innovative aspect of understanding emerges. He has used new and old words and compounds in his speech. The world of meanings that he has created by mixing philosophy, thought, and imagination in his universal speech is extremely impressive. If we look at the words and compounds included in Iqbal's speech, they are a storehouse of new word meanings. In this paper, the words and compounds included in Allama Iqbal's speech, which the commentators have included in their interpretation as literal and figurative meanings, will be presented. This article will also bring to our attention that by knowing the correct meanings of words and compounds, Iqbal's speech can be well understood.
